Teacup in a Storm wins AWGIE Award
Happy news. A fortnight ago my play Teacup in a Storm received a 2017 AWGIE Award for Community and Youth Theatre. It was joint winner in that category, together with Michael Swordfish by Lachlan Philpott.

A mix of documentary material and fictional narrative Teacup in a Storm is a window into the largely unseen world of carers. People who care for a partner, parent, friend or family member with a disability or enduring health need. It was produced by The Q/Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in February 2016.
The timing of this award is serendipitous as I’m currently working on a new play, as yet untitled, for The Joan. There’s a work-in-progress reading of it scheduled for October—by which time it will no doubt have a title.
