The Devil Girls From Planet M

2 February 2019

I have a reading of a new play-in-progress this month: The Devil Girls From Planet M. It’s part of PLAYLIST, a partnership between the Seymour Centre, the Sydney Mardi Gras and Siren Theatre Company which celebrates the creation and development of original Australian theatre with an LGBTQ+ focus.

The day features a mix of works—production-ready plays, scripts in-progress and excerpts—by a mix of writers and theatre-makers. Here’s the full program.

It runs from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday 16 February. At the Reginald Theatre, Seymour Centre, corner of Cleveland Street and City Road, Chippendale.

Tickets are free. Book here.

The Devil Girls From Planet M
Someone has been contacted … Others are asking questions. Is there life on Mars? Is marriage equality the same as equality? The Devil Girls From Planet M is about close encounters of an unexpected kind. And somehow it’s all tangled up with those science fiction films of the 1950s.

The reading is directed by Kate Gaul.

With actors Jane Phegan, Laura Djanegara, Andrew Fraser and Rebekah Robertson.
